Join us for a one-hour online seminar with lawyer Andrea MacLean. Andrea will explain the most relevant legal defences for independent reporters, focusing on the responsible communication defence. Andrea will also address how internal communications like emails and Slack messages can be disclosed in legal action, and how to protect yourself and your work.

What if I can't make the live event?
No problem. Whenever possible, members will receive a recording of the session to watch later at their convenience. You won’t miss the insights or discussion and can catch up on your own time.
Are your events online or in person?
Most of our events are hosted online to make them accessible to journalists and media professionals around the world. Recordings of select sessions are made available exclusively to members, allowing you to revisit discussions, panels, and training at your convenience. Occasionally, we also host in-person gatherings and workshops, which will be clearly noted in the event details.
Can I propose or host an event with IPG?

Do I need to be a member to register?
Yes, most of our events are exclusive to members. Becoming a member is easy and you can sign up through the membership page.
